I am a local TCK. I was born and raised in various parts of Japan during my formative years and spent 16 years in the USA as young adult. I received my undergraduate and graduate degree in the USA and returned to Japan in 2010.
As a counselor, I have a passion for and proven track record in empowering and collaborating with my clients to identify, pursue, and successfully overcome their barriers and achieve their goals. I have a systemic orientation and uses multiple therapeutic approaches including solution-focused, Cognitive behavioral, and structural family therapy. I also enjoy creative approaches such as art, music, and writing in therapy when possible.
I am a compassionate and caring therapist who will listen to your stories and ask questions in order to be able to understand your current circumstances and assist you to make a positive growth and change.

Clinical experience
I have clinical experience in the USA and Japan. I have worked with individuals, families, and couples from various racial, ethnic, and religious background at hospital, counseling clinic and school. I see clients who have concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, interpersonal issue, cross-cultural issue, and adjustment issue.
