Counseling Approach/Philosophy of Counseling/Comment for future clients

I am a local TCK. I was born and raised in various parts of Japan during my formative years and spent 16 years in the USA as young adult. I received my undergraduate and graduate degree in the USA and returned to Japan in 2010.

As a counselor, I have a passion for and proven track record in empowering and collaborating with my clients to identify, pursue, and successfully overcome their barriers and achieve their goals. I have a systemic orientation and uses multiple therapeutic approaches including solution-focused, Cognitive behavioral, and structural family therapy. I also enjoy creative approaches such as art, music, and writing in therapy when possible.

I am a compassionate and caring therapist who will listen to your stories and ask questions in order to be able to understand your current circumstances and assist you to make a positive growth and change.

I look forward to working with you and I hope I can help you to enjoy the journey to reach your goal.
